Q: I am a New Yorker and I was searching for a portable air conditioner on the web when I learned about portable air coolers which are much more cheaper (almost $300.00 less!). So I searched the web about Air Coolers and found hundreds of sites selling them with great information and I also found your site on Air Coolers . BUT yours had different information then all other websites on Air Coolers! It seems you take a total different position on what an Air Cooler IS and what it will DO for me. What you say basically tells me that for my situation it would not cool my room down. I figured since you were the ONLY COMPANY I could find saying what you were saying about air coolers that you were wrong and simply saying these things to try to sell a more expensive Air Conditioner to me. (I even E-Mailed you to let you know how I felt and your response was that you were simply telling the truth about Air Coolers and giving as much information and what you have learned about them for a consumer to make the right buying decision!) Your policy on Air Coolers is no returns which I also did not like. So I decided to BUY an Air Cooler from someone else!!
I NOW WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU!!!! You, Natural Solutions Environmental, Inc. ARE THE ONLY ONES TELLING THE COMPLETE TRUTH ABOUT AIR COOLERS. Everything you say on your website Air Cooler Page about air coolers is TRUE!!! When I received my Air Cooler from your competitor I set it up and turned it on. Outside it was 84 degrees F and 63 percent humidity. I left the room, which is only 150 sq.ft. , for about 30 minutes and returned expecting some relief. When I entered the room it was TERRIBLE!!! It felt SUPPER SWEATY and being in the room only for a few minutes, I started sweating myself. I figured I did something wrong but how could I, I just added water and ice and turned it on, no rocket science required here!! I figured the unit was not working correctly. I ACTUALLY HAD TO OPEN A WINDOW TO COOL THE ROOM DOWN!!! I called who I bought the unit from and after talking with them we figured the unit was not defective. He told me to try to use other fans to distribute and cool air around... that did not work. I called and returned the unit for a refund. I had to PAY to ship it back and also had to pay a restocking charge of 25%. (a total of $47.25!!)
The end result is if I would have believed your webpage on Air Coolers I would NEVER have bought an Air Cooler, I would have bought an Air Conditioner. Your information tells me that it would NOT work for me. I also know why you have a no return policy on your air coolers. If someone reads your information, WHICH IS THE BEST AND MOST TRUTHFUL THAT THERE IS ON AIR COOLERS and disagrees with you and still buys it, they should be stuck with it!!
I now own your 10,000 btu Portable Air Conditioner and I am VERY HAPPY! I even checked prices and you came out the Best! It's nice to know there are still companies out there that sell products and give TRUTHFUL information so a consumer can make the right buying decisions. You are NOW IN MY BROWSERS FAVORITES!!!! Thank you.....
A: We're sorry you had to learn the hard way about Air Coolers. All we can do to help consumers is be honest about the products we sell. Unfortunately, many sellers on the web don't give enough information to consumers, they simply provide what the manufacturer supplies them. Many of them never even see, use or touch the products they sell. If they did, they would learn first hand about the products they sell. Again, were sorry you had to go thru what you did and we are glad you are now satisfied, and a customer of Natural Solutions!
Q: I use Comparison Shopping Websites to make sure I find the Best Deal and Prices but I find I may NOT be getting the best prices! After researching comparison websites for the Envirosept Panel Air Cleaner I thought I found the best deal at $319.00 and bought it. Now I find YOU at $279.95 with FREE 12 pack of filters and you even have FREE shipping! Did you know you are NOT found in ANY comparison Websites? I looked at other products you have and find you have BETTER or equal to prices than what I find on comparison shopping websites. Why are Comparison Websites NOT FINDING YOU or including you? They say they "Scour the Web" for the Best Prices!
A: The answer is easy! What is found on Comparison Websites are Advertisers or Sponsored companies that PAY to have the products on the Comparison Website. This is why Comparison Websites provide this service to you for free. The advertisers pay them. So even if you think you found the Best Price you may want to search the web yourself just to make sure! If we started advertising on all the comparison websites we would have to raise our prices like our competitors do. We would rather provide better prices for our customers.... We noticed this Holiday a NEWS reporter was explaining that comparison websites search the ENTIRE WEB for products and show the BEST pricing you can get on the web. EVEN the NEWS media gets it wrong and misleads consumers. BTW: We are the oldest EnviroSept Distributor and have carried the product since 1998! EnviroSept
Q: I have your Ultra Deluxe Water Distiller and am very happy with it. I would rather not use the water distiller cleaner when cleaning my water distiller because I do not like to use chemicals. Is there any other way to remove the buildup of minerals and stuff left inside the distiller tank?
A: Sure, use distilled Vinegar. Pour vinegar in the tank, enough to submerge all buildup in vinegar, and let it sit over night. You'll have a clean tank the next morning! Vinegar works just as well as distiller cleaner but it takes a longer time to dissolve the buildup.
Q: I have your IQAir Healthpro Plus air cleaner with the V5-Cell for odors. I really don't need the odor filter since I am just concerned with particles in the air. When it is time to replace the V5-cell can I just remove it and not replace it? Will my IQAir be less effective for particles if I remove the V5-Cell?
A: Yes, you can run the IQAir Plus without the V5-Cell and IN FACT, you will have more air flow so it will be more effective for air particles.
Q: I found an allergy web site for consumers that has a lot of air products and they test and evaluate them. I am just wondering if you agree with what they say about some of the air cleaning products.
A: We went to the website that was e-mailed. This is simply a commercial website selling the products under the guise of a club and consumer allergy tester. Unfortunately, they sell what they supposedly test and the testing methodology isn't readily spelled out. We really doubt that they test at all. To believe a consumer club or allergy testing company, they will not be selling the products to the consumer. Look for not-for-profit organization that test and do not sell or recommend a company to purchase from for honest opinions. There are many websites claiming to be consumer researchers or allergy product testers when in fact they are simply retail sales of the products. Look for .org (organizations) websites, not .com (commercial).
Q: Somewhere on the web I read that drinking distilled water may kill you!! What do you say? If it does why do people drink it?
A: NONSENSE!!!! PLEASE Look for quality opinions on the web! Marketers, besides using junk science to promote false, misleading and unsubstantiated claims about their products, also use scare tactics to make you think competitve products are bad for you. Most sellers of AMAZING ENERGIZED SUPER DUPER WATER systems tell you that Pure, Distilled H2O is bad for you and leaches your life away, which is TOTALLY FALSE! They EVEN say DEATH!! If someone tells you that drinking a certain type of water is dangerous to your health, ask your Doctor about the water.
Q: I've seen a website that states: "There is a protein in the cat and dog saliva called FEL D-1. When the animal cleans itself, the protein then dries on the fur leaving dander. The dander particles are small and air filters cannot remove them from the air." Is this true? I always though that dander was dead skin?????
A: As dander is in humans, so is it in pets! You are correct, dander is tiny flakes of dead skin. Also Fel d 1 is produced by cats. Dogs produce Can f 1! They are not dander! We have a webpage that describes both Fel d 1 and Can f 1. I do not know where you read this but it is wrong!!

Q: I've seen bedding products, perfumes, and some air cleaners state that their product is "Hypo-Allergenic". Why not use the term non-allergenic" instead of "hypo-allergenic"? I think it would be more easily understood.
A: No product can really use the term "non-allergenic" simply because there is no such thing as "non-allergenic". Since someone can always be allergic to anything the term "Hypo-allergenic" is more accurate. "Hypo-allergenic" means that the chances of the product causing an allergic reaction has been reduced to a minimum. This does not mean that NO one can be allergic to it. In the air cleaning business it is used simply as "Sales Hype".
Q: "I bought a hand-held vapor steam cleaner for about $100.00. The problem is I don't know the temperature of the steam vapor. In fact, I can put my hand into the steam vapor itself. Is'nt my vapor steam cleaner as effective as the larger units?"
A: First, if you can put your hand into the steam vapor it can NOT be very hot!! Good Vapor Steam cleaners steam vapor is at least 180 to 220 Degrees Fahrenheit or better and you SHOULD NOT put your hand in the vapor. If the vapor is not that hot it can not be to effective and you can not compare a low cost unit to a full fledge vapor steam cleaner. Our Reliable Dry Vapor Steam Cleaners has up to 320 Degrees Fahrenheit boiler temperatures. Most small and low cost units only have boilers of 140.

Q: "I have noticed many products on the web using UV germicidal or Ozone claiming that there product kills anthrax. You have many products that use germicidal UV-C and also some ozone products but you do not make the same claims. How come? Is'nt it true?
'A: There are MANY products on the internet advertising that their product will destroy or kill anthrax simply because it has or uses UV-C. Be aware that if it is TRUE, they BETTER have "Scientific Actual Test Proof". We have found that many are simply making assumptions and that the product they advertise for killing anthrax was "not tested for anthrax specific". Even though UV-C may be able to disable BACTERIA there are many factors to consider in reference to Anthrax. (1) UV-C contact distance, (2) UV-C duration time, (3) if it is the bacteria or the spore form of anthrax. For consumer assurance you should never buy a product that supposedly kills anthrax UNLESS it has VERIFIABLE third party laboratory test proof that you can obtain direct from the testing laboratory! Remember, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" Ask yourself this: "if a scientific breakthrough or product really has been developed on the biochemical front, wouldnt the national news sources be reporting it?" Also, be aware of advertising that preys upon the emotional element and fears of anthrax with such lines as: "protect your children", or "get this product while it lasts"., and even "protect your family and friends".
The products that we have that utilize UV-C Germicidal or Photocaatalytic ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY ANTHRAX and until they are tested for anthrax specific they will remain NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY ANTHRAX.
Since the events on September 11th, 2001 there has been alot of Anthrax scams and products simply to make a fast buck. Don't be fooled!!!
Q: "I read on another site that sells other types of air cleaners, and I quote: "Air cleaners with Germicidal UV Lamps (ultra violet lights) very frequently produce ozone and nitrogen oxide gas as a bye product." Does this mean the Calutech UV-C products create Ozone??"
A: Don't know where you are reading this but where ever it is stay away from them, they do not know what they are talking about! Germicidal UV lamps are NOT the type of UV lamps that create ozone. The UV germicidal lamp method is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control for its germicidal effects. It destroys the DNA of bacteria to kill it. A major misconception by many is that all Ultraviolet lamp systems create ozone. This is not true! Ozone is not created by a 253.7nm Ultraviolet (UV-C) lamp which are known as germicidal UV. Ultraviolet lamps that produce ozone are 185 nm lamp which purpose IS to produce ozone. ANY Quality Air Cleaning Specialist knows the difference between a 184 nm and a 253.7 nm UV lamp and would NEVER make a statement like the one you have quoted. The place that says this is simply trying to knock other products to sell there own AND do not know to much about the industry of air cleaning. NO competent Air Environmental specialist would say such a thing, not even to sell a product because they know the benefit of Germicidal UV. Here is an interesting fact: The reason UV-C 253.7 nm does not get down to earth from the Sun is because the Ozone in the ozone layer that surrounds the earth actually absorbs the UV-C from the sun.
Here is a great website about UV in general: http://www.uv-light.co.uk/what_is_uv.html
Here is another place to find out about the facts on Ozone: http://www.epa.gov/iaq/pubs/ozonegen.html
Q: "I received an Anonymous e-mail one day that explains about different kinds of drinking water. It basically put down every type of water product such as filters, distillers, RO, alkalizers, bottled, and other products that you add to your water. They did however have a product that you use to treat your water with and it was better.. Any comments?
A: First, Throw It Out!! This is Product Bash Advertising!! In our opinion, ANY TIME SOMEONE PUTS DOWN OR BASHES OTHER PRODUCTS OR TECHNOLOGIES IS SIMPLY TRYING TO SELL THEIR PRODUCT AND POSSIBLY THE PRODUCT THEY ARE SELLING IS INFERIOR!! This type of advertising is also called SCARE TACTIC advertising. They want you to believe that they are an EXPERT by explaining in detail the subject, then tell you why something is bad, then they explain to you how bad everything else is, then they tell you what they found and how much better a product it is!. Again... Toss it out! ........ (Did you notice it was in E-Mail form, not on a website!) Be careful what you believe in especially when they are in anonymous E-Mails or on free websites.... And remember, TESTIMONIALS are EASY to fake!!! NEVER decide to purchase a product based on Testimonials, no matter what it is!!
Q: "I recently found out that I have Mold in my home. I was told simply to get a HEPA air purifier to remove the mold from my house. The salesman told me that his HEPA filter will do the trick. Any comments?
A: First, BE AWARE that Mold in the Home is a SERIOUS PROBLEM!!! and can become a SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEM!! There is NO AIR PURIFIER that will remove the Mold from your Home!!! You need to find the source of the Mold and REMOVE THE PROBLEM SOURCE ITSELF. A HEPA air purifier will trap mold spores but will NOT remove from the home the source of the mold. Do not rely on sellers of air purifiers to test for mold in your home. There are a variety of mold types some more serious that others. There have been homes condemned and torn down because of mold, Schools have been shut down because of mold, so think of mold in the home as a serious problem and rectify it as soon as possible! Q: "I was told by one of your competitors that a Negative Air Ionizer will remove pet odors from carpets, is that true?"
A: Negative Ionizers are not for Odor removal and NO, Negative Ionizers WILL NOT remove Pet Odors from Carpets! Negative Ionizers produce Negative Ions which help dust and airborne particles settle out of the air faster then they normally would due to gravity.
Q: "With very high interest I had built for me a Negative Ionizer Detector which you describe on your Website. ( Ion Detector) I constantly checked my Whole Home Negative Ionizer that I purchased elsewhere and could not get it to even blink or light up once, not even when right in front of the fan! I figured the person who made it for me built it wrong so I went back to him. He showed me that it worked with the Negative Ionizer he had and it made the LED light up over 2 feet away from the ionizer. He said that it should show something from any negative ionizer so I tried again and still nothing. When I talked to the person who sold me the machine he said that there is NO WAY of checking negative ions out of my machine. When I asked why he really could not tell me because he said it was just too technical but said don't worry, it produces negative ions throughout your whole house. I since purchased your Neoair Air Cleaner w/ Negative Ionizer and it lights up my detector 1to 2 feet away from the unit. So, here I am puzzled??? I know the Ion Detector works and I know the Neoair is producing negative ions. How come the ion detector can not detect ions coming out of my expensive whole home negative ionizer?? Does it create Negative Ions that are un-detectable?? I 'm starting to wonder if it ever created negative ions at all!
A: All we can say is... "you have seen for yourself." If there are Negative Ions being produced... the Ion Detector will show you it, if they are not being produced, it will not. It is that simple. With ANY TRUE NEGATIVE IONIZER the Ion Detector will show Negative Ions in the air in the area where the ionizer is, usually within 1 to 4 feet away from the ionizer. There is NO reason why the Ion Detector can not detect Negative ions coming out of a True Negative Ionizer unless there is simply none to detect! This Ion Detector will work with True Negative Ionizers which produce Negative Ions. We have checked our Neoair Air Cleaner and found it to turn on the LED of the Ion Detector from a distance of 2 Feet. All Negative Ion Generators are simply not created equal. Have your Ionizer checked to make sure it is not defective.
Q: "I have used your water distiller only twice and I am very surprised by what is left in the tank afterwards. The stuff and smell really surprised me and the distiller cleaner cleaned it great. My question is, "What is that stuff that is left inside the tank?" I always thought I was drinking clean water. Now I know I am because I can see what I AM NOT drinking! Thank You.."
A: Yours is a common question from people who have never used a good water distiller before. We cannot tell you exactly what all the "Stuff" is because everyone's water has different pollutants in it. The hard crusty stuff is probably minerals , etc.. As you pointed out, the nice thing about a quality water distiller is that you can ACTUALLY SEE and SMELL what is now no longer in your water. Enjoy!

Q: "I 've had your water ionizer now for over 4 months and we are very happy with the unit. My question is, right after we make a glass of alkaline water the water seems to be cloudy but quickly clears up to clear water. What makes the water cloudy?"
A: The water ionization takes place in such a short period of time that when you fill a glass with the ionized alkaline water you can actually see the tiny hydrogen bubbles moving up. The alkaline water may initially look cloudy (because of the hydrogen bubbles) at higher level settings but it clears up within a few seconds to crystal clear alkaline water.

Q: "On the News the other day they talked about a common water parasite called cryprosporidium. Do you have any information about this?"
A: We sure do, in fact, we have a Web Page Dedicated to Cryptosporidium.

Q: "I have a Vapor Steam Cleaner (another brand) and I am starting to get a brown mist vapor. When I poured the water out of the unit it was brown. I called the salesman and he said it was probably rust from the boiler from the water sitting in it. You have any comments?"
A: Yes, it probably is rusty water!! I also will bet that the boiler IS NOT a STAINLESS STEEL boiler. This is one of the reasons why stainless steel boilers are better because it does not rust! Stainless Steel boilers are more expensive also!

Q: WE RECEIVE THIS KIND OF QUESTION MANY, MANY TIMES:
"I just purchased, from someone else, a Whole Home Negative Ionizer. This Ionizer is suppose to negatively ionize the air in all the rooms of my 2 floor house. This is why I was told it cost over $600.00. The information I have on it talks more about ozone than ions but when I bought it the sales person called it a ionizer. He also said to put it near my main cold air return of my furnace. Do you have any comments???"
A: Sure, First: What you have sounds like a Ozone Generator, not an negative ionizer. We can tell this because: (A) Negative Ionizers are for the room they sit in ONLY. Negative Ions WILL NOT travel through vent duct systems or go through items like walls or floors. On the contrary, Negative ions will adhere to walls, floors and vent duct systems. This is why Negative Ionizers are good for the room they sit in only. (B) Because of how Negative Ions act, we know of NO whole home Negative Ionizer.
In recent months, because Negative Ionizers have become very popular, some sellers of ozone generators , that may have a mild negative ionizer built into it, are selling their ozone generator and calling it an ionizer which, like you have found, is very confusing to the consumer. A TRUE Negative Ionizer produces hardly NO ozone (Usually way below the OSHA limits). On the other hand, an ozone generators main purpose is to produce ozone in varying amounts. True Negative Ionizers will also state how many ions per second it produces at the Ionizer itself, either by the emitter or a certain distance from the emitter. Most good Negative Ionizers will cost no more than $200.00.
The reason to place an ozone generator near a cold air return duct is to allow ozone to travel through out the vent system allowing ozone to reach other rooms of the house. This works for ozone but it is meaningless and useless for negative ions.
Q: "Can you give me a quick definition of POU and POE water filters?"
A: Sure, POU stands for Point-Of-Use. This means that the water filter filters the water just before it comes out a faucet or out of the water filter itself just before it is used. The water is not pre-filtered or stored somewhere like a holding tank. POU is basically for drinking and cooking water. Wherever the water comes out it is freshly filtered there just before it comes out. POE stands for Point-Of-Entry. These are water filters that filter ALL the water at the point where the water enters the house or business. Water after the POE system is then distributed throughout the house such as the kitchen, bathroom, etc.. All the water in the house has been filtered, even the water that becomes hot water.
Q: "I am looking for a water treatment system for my home and wondered if you could tell me the difference between a product that has an EPA Registered Number, and a product that is EPA Approved. Is the EPA Approved water filter better than one that only has a EPA Registered Number?"
A: Some unscrupulous dealers may claim that certain government agencies require or recommend widespread use of water filters in homes or restaurants, or that the government approves a particular unit. This is not true. If you see an EPA registration number on a product label, it merely means that the manufacturer has registered its product with the EPA. A registration number does not mean that the EPA has tested or approved the product or substantiated the manufacturer's claims. There is NO such thing as EPA Approved water filters! The EPA DOES NOT Approve or Recommend any particular companies product.
Q: "I have been talking to a salesman about his water purifier and would like your input. The system the salesman says is a one-of-a-kind Point of Use system that uses OZONE and Ultraviolet Light and that it immediately kills all bacteria, virus, cryptosporidium, giarda and removes all the lead and chlorine from the water. To me, it sounds like a great system but I can't find any other companys selling it. I also requested the test results but they are un-available at this time. It does not have a Certified NSF testing but it was tested somewhere. Your input please."
A: First, for a system capable of doing all of what you said (Claims) it must have been tested. What are these test results? It seems strange that the test results are not available! Wait until you get test results and you verify them before you purchase!
We will comment on the technology used such as Ozone and Ultraviolet light and what is known:

Q: "I am in the market for a counter top water filter but the massive WEB has me confused... Some web sites tell me that a granular activated carbon (GAC) filter removes tastes and odors only while others tell me that it also removes lead, heavy metals, arsenic, etc... Can you help... I'm confused??"
A: Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filters are a well established technology for the reduction of Aesthetic contaminants (bad tastes and odors).GAC filters are basically used for reduction of Chlorine from municipality tap water which also is the main cause for bad tastes and odors.
Granular Activated Carbon DOES NOT remove Lead, Heavy Metals or Arsenic. If a filter removes contaminants such as these it will also have a NSF-53 (Health Effects) certification. It is important to use a filter that has a NSF-42 or 53 certification because this means that the filter has been tested with PRE-Contaminated water (NSF Protocol) to see if it actually removes the contaminants. For reliable information on water quality issues and methods of treatment you are better off to visit sites such as www.wqa.org which is the Water Quality Association.
Q: "I have been cruising the web looking at air purifiers and wondered if you have any "Testimonial" letters from customers and if not, why not? I have received by postal mail many testimonial letter packets from other vendors about their products but I can not verify any of them. I also found some on air purifier vendor web sites but again, I can't verify them! How can I tell if they are TRUE testimonials or simply made up?"
A: We do not use testimonial letters simply because the party to which sends it does not want their name and address given out, which is understandable. Can you imagine receiving mail or phone calls ALL day, not to mention the amount of junk mail advertising you will receive by other vendors! Because of this fact, you have to question any Testimonial letter's validity. Testimonial letters are used by some as a sales tactic and many over do it which probably means it is a made up testimonial letter by the seller. Some sellers go as far as to instruct the customer on what to write. Our suggestion would be not to judge products only by Testimonial letters, and in fact, not to use Testimonial letters at all when making a purchasing decision.
Q: "I have noticed a lot of so called "IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Specialists" on the web but all they seem to sell is Ozone Generators and say they are the cure-all for air purification. They also seem to say that HEPA filters are a poor air cleaning method???"
A: Be forewarned: There is currently no license, degree, certification, or training to be a IAQ "Specialist" or "Expert" so basically anyone can self proclaim themselves as "IAQ Specialists and Experts". If someone tells you that a "True" HEPA is a poor air cleaning method they simply know NOTHING about air cleaning!
The "True" HEPA filter was specifically designed to protect the Human Respiratory System and is recognized by OSHA / EPA as the ULTIMATE in cleansing the air. Doctors and Allergists also recommend "True" HEPA over any other air cleaning methods. "True" HEPA is a proven method whereas NO agency of the Federal Government has Approved ANY Ozone devices for use in Occupied spaces and NO other medical association or agency recommends ozone use. Ozone does have it's uses but it is not a "Cure-All" technology.

Q: "I am so confused with all the air cleaning products out there (HEPA, Electronic, Ionizers, Ozone Air Purifiers, etc..) that I do not know what to get. I am looking to get the most efficient, and above all, the SAFEST type of air cleaner for my condominium. Since you sell them all what would be your recommendation for me. I have Asthma and in the spring and summer the pollen bothers me. What is your recommendation?? "
A: There can be no other recommendation for Asthma suffers but a TRUE HEPA Air Cleaner. HEPA is the most efficient in filtering the air. Most all Doctors and Allergists recommend HEPA over any other type of a cleaning device. HEPA air cleaners are the safest because they produce no by-products such as ozone. A 100% safe HEPA air cleaner will be one that has an ALL Metal Cabinet so there is no chance of outgassing of plastic. ALL the HEPA Air Cleaners we carry are 100% Safe ALL Metal Cabinets and 3 Stage or more filtration with TRUE Hepa Filters.

Q: "For the Allerair 5000 UV Hepa Air Cleaner, when it becomes time to change the UV Germicidal lamps, can I still use the unit even tho I remove the lamps or do I have to have the lamps? "
A: The unit will still work fine without the UV lamps but keep in mind that once removed, you know longer have germicidal protection. If you are not going to replace with new bulbs, simply remove the old bulbs. We suggest replacing the bulbs as soon as possible so you can benefit from the Germicidal Protection!

Q: " Are Ozone units approved for use in occupied spaces?, I see this alot on the web. Also, Ozone Air Purifier sellers make a lot of claims as to what their machine will do and say they are the only ones approved by regulatory agency.
A: Per the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), Released April 1998:
Some vendors and dealers suggest that their Ozone Air Purifier devices have been approved by the federal government for use in occupied spaces. To the contrary, NO agency of the Federal Government has Approved ANY Ozone devices for use in Occupied spaces!
Contrary to specific claims made by some vendors and dealers, ozone DOES NOT remove particles (e.g., dust and pollen) from the air, including the particles that cause most allergies.
Also, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has recently taken action (Jan 5, 1998) against some manufacturers of ozone generating machines for making unsupported claims about the ability of the machines to clean air. Before you buy an Ozone Air Purifier check with the FTC on the Web!
And finally, we have received many calls and E-Mail saying that they have been told by others, or they have read somewhere on the web, that "Ozone Goes Through Walls" and that "Ozone Kills Dust Mites". On the contrary, Ozone DOES NOT go through walls and Ozone DOES NOT Kill Dust Mites! Be an informed consumer and don't fall prey to overly- hyped, False claim products!
