Replacing Filters time depends upon usage and application of air cleaner, .... in general:

Standard Units: HEPA filters and Carbon Filters should be changed between 2 and 5 years.
DX Units: Micro Hepa Wrap and Carbon Filters 2 to 3 years.
(Dependent upon amount of smoke absorbed by air cleaner) DS (Smoke) Units: Micro Hepa Wrap and Carbon Filters 6 months to 1year for (4000DS) and 1 year to 2 years for (5000DS). Tar Pre-filters should be changed at least every month.
